Welcome to

1. Age limits

No one under the age of 14 may take the challenge above Quarter Loop (42 Kms) Category Challenge

2. Challenge Period

Starting from 1st Sep 2025 00:00:00 till 31st Dec 23:59:59

No limitation on the number of challenge attempts

3. Selfies

Selfies should be taken at all the control points only while the Strava activity recording is on, so that Strava recording GPS location of the photo.

General rules and etiquette

All riders must wear a helmet and carry a long-sleeved windproof/waterproof jacket if possible

No following cars or motorbikes

Standard (road or mountain*) bikes/tandems only

Not allowed: Small wheel bikes, Choppers, fat bikes, electric bikes, fold-up bikes, Fix bikes

We recommend using a road bike with low gears or a not-too-heavy mountain bike with slicks

Be responsible for your belongings and don’t throw trash on the HORR LOOP

Be nice to your fellow riders, always announce when you are passing, and make sure they have a safe place to pull over, especially in the technical parts

No short-cutting the course

If you need to stop and take a break, make sure you are well off course in a hardened area

Important Ride Rules

Strictly follow the Route (no-deviation). Download the Komoot app for navigation for the Visual route map with Audio prompts (Ensure your phone is charged and you have headphones for the best experience, insert only one earbud either left or right and keep the other ear free to hear your surroundings)

Enjoy the ride and take photos/videos of the beautiful scenery along the route! 📸, take selfies with your fellow riders! as much as you can! At least 4 photos at four Control Points are must. All the photos/videos should be upload to the Strava activity

Please ensure your Decathlon Cycle service and they will go through 14 checkpoint service Book for Complimentary Service slot in these stores

After completing the ride, ensure you update the Strava Activity Title to "The HORR LOOP Challenge 2025"

Welcome to

The HORR LOOP Challenge route is one of the most popular outer ring roads in India, and it is the second-largest outer ring road loop in the country.

Riders enjoy the scenic service road, surrounded by beautiful greenery along the HORR LOOP.

This route spans 170 kilometers around the Hyderabad Outer Ring Road, starting at the Narsingi Solar Cycle Track entry point and passing through locations such as Kokapet, Kollur, Patancheru, Sultanpur, Dindigul/Saragudem, Medchal, Shamirpet, Keesara, Ghatkesar, Taramatipet, Pedda Amberpet, Bonguluru, Raviryal, Tukkuguda, Pedda Golconda, Shamshabad, Rajendra Nagar, TSPA, and Nanakramguda.

The top riders complete the route in just under seven hours, but it is common for average riders to take nine hours or more.

The route is not particularly challenging; according to rider feedback, it is considered a moderate one-day ride.

The total elevation gain is 750 meters, with the highest point at 630 meters and the lowest at 440 meters.
