Terms and Conditions

1. Eligibility

To participate in the HORR LOOP Challenge you must:

• Be aged 18 years or older at the time of registration
• Hold a valid cycling insurance policy providing cover for competitive or challenge cycling events for the full duration of the event
• Provide truthful, accurate, and complete registration information
• Comply with all applicable local laws and regulations at the time of the event

The Organiser reserves the right to refuse registration or remove a Participant at any time if they fail to meet these eligibility criteria.

2. Registration and Payment

Registration is complete only when full payment has been received and a confirmation email has been issued. All fees are as quoted on the registration platform at the time of booking.

• Registration fees are non-transferable unless explicitly approved by the Organiser in writing.
• Entries are strictly personal — you may not register on behalf of another person without their consent.
• The Organiser accepts no liability for duplicate or fraudulent registrations.

3. Event Rules and Safety Guidelines

All Participants must adhere to the official event rules, safety guidelines, and the Highway Code applicable in the event location. Key obligations include:

• Completing the entire route independently (no motorised or motor-assisted vehicles)
• Wearing a properly fastened cycling helmet at all times while on a bicycle during the event
• Maintaining control of your bicycle and exercising due care for other road users
• Following the designated route as marked or communicated by the Organiser
• Carrying sufficient food, hydration, and repair equipment for the duration of your ride
• Reporting any accident, injury, or hazard to event marshals immediately

Failure to comply with event rules may result in disqualification and removal from the event without refund.

4. Event Modification and Cancellation

The Organiser reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel the Event or any part of it in the following circumstances:

• Adverse weather conditions (including but not limited to extreme heat, storms, flooding, or ice)
• Safety concerns or official advice from emergency services or local authorities
• Force majeure events beyond the Organiser's reasonable control
• Insufficient participation numbers

In the event of full cancellation, Participants will be entitled to a full refund of their registration fee, less any processing charges. Partial modifications (e.g., route changes) do not entitle Participants to a partial refund.

5. Assumption of Risk and Waiver

Cycling in a challenge or endurance event carries inherent risks including, but not limited to, falls, collisions, exposure, dehydration, and other physical harm. By registering and participating:

• You acknowledge and accept all risks associated with cycling in such an event.
• You confirm that you are physically fit and medically able to complete the event without risk to your health.
• You waive any claims against the Organiser, its directors, employees, volunteers, agents, and sponsors arising from injury, loss, or damage to property sustained during or as a result of the event, except in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct by the Organiser.

You are strongly advised to obtain adequate personal accident and cycling insurance before the event.

6. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Organiser's total liability in connection with the Event is limited to the amount of the registration fee paid by the affected Participant.

The Organiser shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of earnings, loss of data, or loss of business opportunity arising from participation in the Event.

7. Intellectual Property

All event branding, logos, graphics, photography, and content associated with the HORR LOOP Challenge are the exclusive property of HORR LOOP. Participants may not use, reproduce, or exploit any HORR LOOP intellectual property for commercial purposes without prior written consent. Photography and video footage taken during the event may be used by the Organiser for promotional purposes.

8. Privacy

The Organiser collects and processes your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By registering, you consent to such processing. Results, leaderboard positions, and aggregate statistics may be published publicly as part of the event.

9. Dispute Resolution

In the event of any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms or your participation in the Event:

• You agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting the Organiser via the Contact page.
• If the dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the rules of the applicable arbitration body in the jurisdiction where the Event takes place.
• These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where the Event is hosted.

10. Amendments

The Organiser may amend these Terms at any time. Any material changes will be communicated via email to registered Participants and posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued participation in the Event following any such amendment constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
